This was popular with royality and have been imported from China By local Thai artisan draw a pattern and sent them to China (Sino-Thai wares) Later, they discovered kaolin clay which is one of main material. The First Thai benjarong was made in the reign king RamaV. Benjarong to be used for royality and weathy merchants only. Nowadays Benjarong is available to all people because of King Rama IX’s permission
